The US Mint has come out with some new penny designs to celebrate Lincolns Bi-Centenial.

I think they are pretty cool, I like the one of Lincoln sitting on the log, you can check out the new designs over at Fox News.

I had a pretty busy week, I had a meeting with Toshiba that I had to cancel due to unforseen circumstances which sucked because I was looking forward to what they had to show off.

But I did get to go to Pepcom with Radiris and Betty, check out Radiris post here. While there I was able to speak with some people from various companies we work with such as HP, Symantec, Nikon, Lenovoo, Canon and Kingston.

Also spoke with Kevin from the Bluetooth sig about putting together some giveawaysfor HardwareGeeks.com, so check the site out regularly to see if we are giving anything away.

For those of you who are curious about what Pepcom is, it’s a press only event where press and bloggers can go to mingle with PR people from various companies and various companies show off their new products etc.

It’s a fun event, they have one almost every quarter, and I like to attend them because it allows me to bring you guys and gals cool news and reviews on the latest and greatest gadgets available.

Although there is one complaint I do have, a lot of people go just for the swag, so my suggestion for companies don’t bring too much of it because people will crowd your booth just for the swag.

Anyway I’m a go lay down, I still am a bit under the weather.

Well this past week I have been a bit sick

I had a bad head cold, congestion and you know everything from the peptobismol comercial. I am a lot better now but still a little crappy feeling.

I have a meeting with Toshiba on Tuesday so I hope I am better by then.

Today I applied to be a Microsoft Guru. Wish me luck!!!!!!!!!!! It pays 20 odd dollars an hour, a friend at Microsoft told me if they don’t hire me he will lose all faith in the company. lol Yeah right.

Oh just remembered Pepcom is on Thursday but I am not looking forward to it, I wanted Radiris to go with me but she has to be in Dallas on that day :’(

My Silver Medallion Welcome package arrived today from Delta, although I feel I was recently screwed by Delta, I was really excited to get the package.

I say package but it really was just an envelope with a welcome letter, Membership card which indicates my new status, Key Fob with my Status and a Luggage Bag tag with my status on it.

I took some pics and figured I would share them with you, check them out in the gallery in the sidebar.

So I booked a flight for November on Delta, it was an early flight. The flight is for my trip to disney world/

With in 13 hours of the booking the flight was canceled, and I was placed on a different flight. Different flight number etc. The departure time was only different by a few minutes.

What Delta did not tell me is that the flight they put me on is cheaper than my original flight, and when I found out about this. Delta says they don’t credit the difference of a re-scheduled flight.

Delta didn’t even tell me that my original flight was canceled, I found out about my canceled flight on my own, when I went to assign myself a seat. Keep in mind this was with-in 24 hours of my ticket purchase, and Delta allows you to cancel with in 24 hours no questions asked.

So I call Delta to help assign me a seat because it would not let me, I specifically asked are there any changes to the flight aside from it being canceled a different air craft etc. I wanted to make sure I was still going to Orlando and not some other airport, I wanted to make sure it was a Delta Flight and not some codeshare etc. I was told no that it was Delta and there were no other changes, which wasn’t true the new flight was cheaper and that in my opinion is a change a big one, and since I was with in my 24 hours I could of canceled and rebooked at the cheaper price.

So be ware, if you book a flight on Delta a few months in advance and it’s canceled chances are the new flight you are on is cheaper than the original one booked.

I love Delta, been flying Delta as much as I can for business but things like this make me want to stop flying an airline.

AA and JetBlue don’t see my business anymore for shady business practices. Jet Blue for the way they handled a canceled flight of mine and AA for all their shotty maitenice work. United doesn’t get my money anymore because they simply have some of the rudest flight attendents. If Delta keeps up with bad CS I may look into going back to flying just AA.

I am going to Disney World, YAY I will be going on November 11th and Returning the 14th. I just got back from Disney Land too, I am so excited. I plan to Visit the Magic Kingdom, Epcot, MGM and The Animal Kingdom.

I called UPS because they were billing me for a scheduled pick up they never showed up for, I expected it but what ever.

Anyway I call them up and there was no hold time, so I get an agent right away.

During the call he said one more moment like 10 times to the point it was akward. I litterally said dude please put me on hold.

I got back from Disneyland on Wednesday, went to visit HP and the new Dream Home exhibit that opened June 16th. Check out my post over at HardwareGeeks.com on the visit here.

Yesterday I went to the Movies and saw Star Wars Clone Wars, it was pretty good. A lot of lil bastards in the movie theather one kicked my seat and I turned around and barked at him and got his moms number she was hot.

I also went to the NYC Transit Museum and got to see all the old train cars, it was pretty fun. I even went into the kids exhibit and played on the bus and the engine exhibit. I felt like a little kid. I do have to say the gift shop in the transit museum was more expensive than the one at Disneyland.
